Amber was my introduction to Golden Retriever so I have a lot to be thankful to her for.

She came from a friend of mines dog called Lady. Both Amber and Lady were beautiful in nature and very obedient apart from one day when Amber was only six months old when her mother took her rabbiting across the fields and did not return for three hours. Amber had really sore feet and never attempted to be her mothers side kick after that.

From the minute I saw my friends dog Lady (Ambers mother) I knew that this breed was special and that I wanted to have one of my own.

Amber was born after five years and we dabbled in a little showing ,then I was hooked but had to wait many years to be able to show seriously.

Amber was a wonderful Ambassador for the breed,She regularly visited the old peoples home where I worked and I saw such lovely responses from the residents that I knew that she bought great joy to them especially to the ones that had very few visitors.

Amber loved children and was always to be seen, in the middle of all the children’s games.
